Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bookwik ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Bookwik is an online booking and business management platform for appointment-based service businesses. We provide tools for managing services, staff, availability, bookings, and client relationships.

3. Account Registration

To use Bookwik as a business, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Business Obligations

As a business user of Bookwik, you agree to:

• Provide accurate business information and keep it updated
• Honor all confirmed bookings or handle cancellations promptly
• Maintain appropriate insurance and licenses as required by law
• Comply with all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations
• Complete KYC verification as required for platform access

5. Platform Fees

Bookwik charges a service fee of 5% on each completed order for Free plan subscribers, or 3% for Pro plan subscribers. These fees are automatically deducted from your transactions. There are no setup fees or monthly subscription charges for the Free plan.

6. Bookings and Cancellations

Bookings made through Bookwik are contracts between the business and the client. Bookwik is not a party to these agreements. Businesses are responsible for their own cancellation policies and should communicate them clearly to clients.

7. Payments

Payment processing is handled by Paystack. By using Bookwik's payment features, you agree to Paystack's terms of service. Bookwik does not store your payment card details.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Platform are owned by Bookwik or its licensors. You retain ownership of your business content and data.

9. Limitation of Liability

Bookwik provides the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. You are responsible for obtaining necessary consents from your clients for data processing.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
